These lights have exceptionally good light output. I bought these 30 Watt bulbs, but they were a little too bright when I used them in a light fixture with 5 lamp sockets. The 23 Watt bulbs I purchased afterwards are still rather bright in the same 5 socket light fixture, but acceptable. The light output will become a little less with time. These 30 Watt bulbs are excellent for a three lamp light fixture. When compared to an incandescent bulb, these appear to be pure white and the standard bulb a weak yellow glow by comparison. Once you adapt to these full spectrum bulbs, you cannot go back to standard incandescent bulbs. Now I am replacing incandescent bulbs in all areas of my new house except in areas of low usage or places the bulbs will not fit. These bulbs will fit in most fixtures, however. I am replacing the fixture in my garage to put some 45 Watt full spectrum bulbs into a cluster light fixture. I live in the Houston, Texas area so cold weather is not normally a problem. Fluorescent bulbs often are weak in light output in cold weather until they warm up after a few minutes. When warm, they work fine. I have not tried this particular bulb series in a cold soak environment yet. The payoff should come this summer when electric bills are at their peak. These bulbs are very efficient and produce a lot less heat than incandescent bulbs. I look forward to the day that LED bulbs become affordable and brighter, but for now, this is the way to go. Definitely avoid the so called warm white fluorescent bulbs in the stores. Order only full spectrum CFL bulbs or those rated 51K or 55K or anything in the 5000 to 6000 Kelvin light spectrum. I would avoid the bulbs in the 6000 Kelvin range. They probably have too much of a blue shift. The 51K or 5100 Kelvin bulbs are perfect. Then it is just a matter of selecting the wattage you want. For multiple bulb fixtures, the 23 Watt bulbs are usually perfect. For single bulb fixtures, you probably want a higher power bulb than these. I am using a 45 Watt 51K fluorescent bulb over my breakfast nook and it is just right. These full spectrum bulbs are great for SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) people like me. I get winter depression when it is cloudy and bleak for a long time. Normally Houston has plenty of sunshine, but this winter has been unusually cold. Well, at least I am not in the frozen north. This is quite a switch for me because I just moved from the San Francisco area.

I've been a user of full spectrum bulbs because my office is attached to a computer server room and thus has no windows. I use this lights with a few desk lamps that I aim toward the walls/ceiling from my wrap around desk to provide some natural feeling light. It really helps me feel less like taking a snooze under all of the dim indoor lighting.



The packaging was all cardboard and contained no plastic. The bulbs seemed very well protected and I had no issues with them being shipped. I will definitely consider these again the next time I need more full spectrum bulbs. Also, no flicker that I can notice.

I added these lights to my shop. Originally I was using two 4' fluorescent tubes. I had dark spots every where. Not very safe when running power tools.



These CFL's are bright and clear. No yellowing. Plus they're energy efficient.

I needed 10" duct and Wall Cap with 10" round connection when we install 60" Broan Hood in our new home. I searched everywhere and contacted all local HVAC supply houses. The issue was they wanted over $100.00 on there caps and there design which had no build it gate which closes the pipe when it is not in use.

This one had that gate and it is installed flushed against the wall so top is tapered down which is perfect when there are chances of water Snow and Ice build up in north east area. Since it is tapped down there is no chance of any type of hold up. It is well made unit and looks good installed. Only complain is i hope they made one in Black which will be best look on new house.

When I saw this adapter I was excited thinking that I would be able to attach my Colman BBQ and the 2 burner stove together so we be able to cook without having to change the disposable ones over and over agin. When I got it I noticed that the connections were larger than what I was in need of. After looking for down size adapter and re-reading the discription again and again trying to find out what size the adapter is I did see that it is a 1 inch adapter and what I need is a 3/8th of an inch which I was able to find. For the larger connections it should work great and your outdoor kitchen could be amazing!!

Mower blades rusted beyond belief. I could write on the edge that was supposed to cut! Now, after a few minutes with the 2000 and it is better than new. I added the knife sharpener and now my wife keeps calling her knives killer sharp. Now I won't go to sleep before she does!

I don't know how to the one reviewer got such bad results with his work sharp knife sharpener, but I have had A++++ results with mine. I have sharpened at least 40+ knives on one set of 3 belts and used them for about a year now. I sharpen everything from 2 ft machetes to pairing knives and stainless to carbon steel.



What I have found (to extend the sanding belts life) is , if a blade is REALLY dull, ie a stainless steel machete or lawn mower blades, I grind it a bit on the work sharp 2000 discs and them start with the knife sharpening belt attachments. YMMV



Every knife I own now is hair shaving sharp. Only draw back, is that thick survival type knives like Ka-Bars and such can be hard to get into the groove and get at the right angle, but it still works.



If you have dull knives this is it!!!!

The Worksharp 2000 is a very good tool; easy to use and flexible in its use. However, the knife sharpener is worthless. It does sharpen knives, but the small sandpaper belts are very quickly used up. I sharpened 9 knives and a cleaver and that was it. The sandpaper belts were worn out. The belts are unique to this tool; thus, one cannot use another kind of belt.



The bad part is the knives ended up very sharp. So it sharpens the knives well enough, but one hates to replace the belts each time 10 or so knives are sharpened. The honing belt is the most important because it will be used the most. After the knives are sharpened the first time the course belt does not have to be used again (or at least for awhile), but the honing belt (the finest grit) has to be used every time; thus, that belt has to be replaced each time 10 or so knives are sharpened. Not good.



Also, replacing the belts isn't as easy as it looks. And, each belt had to be re-tensioned so it would run correctly. Kind of a pain.



I cannot recommend this product, but I can recommend the Worksharp 2000 as it works very well.

Good news: the two 6-inch pans in this absurdly over-priced set do fit Kenmore ranges. The 8-inch pans can be used by children as headgear on Halloween.



Bad news: the two 8-inch-pans don't fit Kenmore ranges.



Result: you end up paying three times the cost of a superior set of drip pans at K-Mart (where I eventually bought mine)--and your kids are walking around with black pans on their heads.
